RedGifs Downloader for Chrome
Paste a RedGifs link and save the HD MP4 without leaving Google Chrome — on desktop or Android. No extension, no desktop software, no signup.
Free · No extension · No signup · Up to 10 links at once
Features
Nothing to install
The downloader runs in the tab you already have open — no extension, no add-on, nothing to update or remove later.
HD & SD downloads
Save the original-quality MP4 for your archive, or pick SD for a smaller file when data or storage is tight.
No account, no history
No Chrome sign-in, no permissions, and no stored links. What you paste stays in that tab.
How to download RedGifs in Chrome
Chrome plays RedGifs videos in a web player, so there's no built-in save button and no official Chrome extension to add one. SSSRedgifs closes that gap: paste the link, resolve the original MP4, and download it straight from the RedGifs CDN — no re-encoding, no watermark, no extra tabs.
1. Copy the link
Open the post on redgifs.com and copy the URL from Chrome's address bar, or use Share → Copy link.
2. Paste & fetch
Paste it into the box above — up to 10 links, one per line — then press Download all.
3. Save the MP4
Tap HD for original quality or SD for a smaller file. Chrome saves it to Downloads.
Chrome on desktop vs Chrome on Android
The page is the same on both, but Chrome handles the finished file a little differently. Here's where your video ends up:
Chrome on Windows, macOS & Linux
Click HD and the MP4 goes to your default Downloads folder. Open it with Ctrl+J on Windows/Linux or Cmd+Shift+J on macOS, or right-click the download bubble to choose Show in folder.
Chrome on Android
Tap HD and the file lands in Downloads. Open Chrome's three-dot menu → Downloads, or use the Files app. Gallery and Google Photos usually index it automatically; if not, move the MP4 into DCIM/Camera to force a media scan.
Why there's no Chrome extension
A browser extension has to request access to the pages you visit and the files you download — permissions you shouldn't hand to a downloader. This page only does one job: it takes the RedGifs URL you paste, asks the public RedGifs API for the original MP4, and gives you the download link. Close the tab and nothing stays behind, which is also why there's nothing to uninstall.
